Cetirizine hydrochloride tablets were first developed and marketed by the Belgian UCB company in 1987. It has now been marketed in more than 100 countries or regions and was included in the 1997 European Pharmacopoeia. In 1991, UCB was approved to be sold in the Chinese market, and the clinical effect was definite. In 1995, Zhejiang Zhebei Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. and China Normal University jointly developed a new drug, Wei Dimin, which was approved to be marketed in 2000. It has been clinically proven to be effective and easy to use. It has now replaced imported similar products.
